Do dimensions matter?

During your home recoring, to obtain a thick, great kick asses guitar sound you need a full stack head + 4×12 cabinet and push it to the limit right? Wrong! We can say that it’s not mandatory to have an expensive amp with very-evil distortion channel. If you have it, good, but if you are on a budget, even just 100€, and you still want to get good recordings, it’s possible to do it also with a 15W amp. I’m not joking, I mean it. All you need is a bit of patience to place your mic. You can reach great results and Ola Englund shows how to do it with the video below. He used a Marshall MG15CF, 98€ on Thomann.de, a Shure SM57 and some great Heavy Metal!

It’s not the sound of a Rectifier, for sure, but did you expect that?
